Janet has served as sole, presiding, and co-arbitrator in ICC, ICDR, DIAC, Juris, HKIAC, SIAC, and in ad hoc arbitrations in a variety of seats. Her matters have covered a range of industries including construction, heavy equipment, M&A, shareholder, distribution, intellectual property, environmental, finance and employment. She has been a member of ICC Canada since 2001; of the Arbitration Roundtable of Toronto (now Toronto Commercial Arbitration Society) since 2006; and of CIArb Canada Board (founding chair of Toronto chapter in 2006). She has been recognized regularly in legal directories for her skill as an arbitrator since 2010, including in Who’s Who Legal Canada, Who’s Who Arbitration and Chambers & Partners. |

Academic Activities | She co-directed the CIArb Oxford Diploma Course 2014-2017; and has taught in the Stuttgart Masters in Construction Law Program since 2017. She is a professor of law and past associate dean of Osgoode Hall Law School. Janet was the Osgoode Hall Law School Silver Medallist in 1993 and she received a Teaching Award in 2010 for her teaching in the Osgoode Professional Masters Program. |
